In 2021 Cove Park joined forces with ACT: Argyll & the Isles Coast & Countryside Trust to become the Argyll Beacon, one of 13 Scotland-wide Climate Beacons bringing arts, heritage, and cultural organisations together with climate change or environmental organisations in advance of the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow. Devised by Creative Carbon Scotland the aim of this project, through cultural and climate-focussed projects and events, is to stimulate long-term public engagement in climate change.
The Argyll Beacon has now devised, produced, and commissioned several high-profile projects and Cove Park continues to collaborate with ACT on work connected to Argyll’s ancient woodland and rainforests.
