Ella Thumim is a visual artist based in London. Working mainly in painting and drawing, her practice explores the moments and materials of our everyday lives, focussing on the rich textures to be found in the everyday.

In these seemingly inconsequential details are old ghosts, tributes to the passage of time. Exploring the poetry and lyricism of such fragments, and how they might translate visually, Ella’s work looks at the delicate balance between permanence and impermanence and the poetics of the overlooked.
