Victoria Evans is a Scotland-based contemporary artist, researcher and teacher, working across a variety of media including moving image, sound, sculpture and creative writing. She graduated with a master’s degree from Glasgow School of Art in 2015 and is currently conducting part-time practice-based PhD research at Edinburgh College of Art, funded by the Scottish Graduate School of Arts and Humanities.

Victoria has exhibited in the UK and internationally; her writing has been published in academic art journals and magazines; she has been awarded commissions, grants and residencies from: SGSAH; Hospitalfield Arts, Arbroath; SNEHTA Gallery, Athens; Visual Art & Craft Makers Award, Glasgow; Design Informatics and Creative Informatics, Edinburgh; LUX Scotland; and the Xunta da Galicia, Santiago de Compostela. Victoria has had her work broadcast on BBC Four, and Radiophrenia and recently attended a three-month artist residency at MARE marine research centre in Madeira, Portugal exploring underwater acoustics and cetacean communication.
