The recipient of Cove Park’s first Loch Long Crime Writing Residency is Caro Carver.  This new fully funded residency is aimed at Scotland-based writers developing new work in crime fiction.

Caro Carver lives in Inverclyde, Scotland with her husband and four children. She is Reader in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow, teaches for the Faber Academy and the Curtis Brown Academy, and regularly speaks on panels and hosts events on writing. Caro is happiest when travelling and takes inspiration from her travels to write her books. Bad Tourists, her first book written under the pseudonym of Caro Carver, will be published by Transworld in Summer 2024. She is also published by HarperCollins as C.J. Cooke for her gothic thrillers.

At Cove Park, Caro will be working on her forthcoming crime novel.

We are grateful to our Argyll Patron for their generous support and making this residency possible.
