Maraid Mcewan is a London based artist, creative researcher and designer exploring social impact and care through collaboration. She expresses the importance of making with people, specifically under-represented groups and is driven by a desire to utilise creativity as a tool to reimagine and reconceptualise our emotions. Her work is diverse in its outputs, ranging from sculpture, photography, installation, drawing, interactions and experiences.

Maraid held the position of designer in residence at the Young Victoria and Albert Museum in 2022 exploring mindfulness with young people, and has displayed work with multiple institutions and galleries both in London and internationally. Maraid has developed a unique approach that fuses art, research and design, currently exploring ecofeminist perspectives and investigating the interplay between identity, place and climate emotions.
