Yasmin Lennon-Chong is a designer producing work in the realm of graphic, product and spatial design, based in London, UK.

With a background in visual communication and multidisciplinary design practice, their work considers the interplay between aesthetics, objects and environments as means to develop alternative modes of communication, experience and perceived functionality. Reworking extracted forms from a pre-existing everyday vernacular, their practice attempts to create new meaning and value in domestic and urban environments playing with the affordances of existing objects, spatial arrangements and industry standards. Often taking the form of designed objects + interventions along with 3D renders, graphic representations + speculative proposals, their practice considers the potential for experimental, technologically enhanced environments with emphasis towards user experience, participation and the creative production of space.

During their stay at Cove Park, Yasmin will be building on a series of new design iterations + overarching framework which draws from architectural and urban semiotics as a tool for exploring the language and communication of everyday objects. The residency will offer a space for focused research, development and study around these themes.
