Julian Stanford is an emerging painter in oils. A few years ago, against much good advice, he gave up his career in the film & cinema industries to pursue his passion for creating images of his own. He lives and has his studio in the English countryside by the Thames, but also draws on his extensive travels in both Britain and abroad as influence for his landscape works.
He has studied at Heatherleys School of Fine Art in London and in 2021 completed a Diploma in Oil Painting over two years with contemporary artist Martin Kinnear at his Norfolk Painting School. Julian has exhibited in Marlow, the King’s Road London and local Open Studios Arts Weeks. The objective of the Cove Park residency is to develop his particular style of landscape painting into a more consistent visual language.
