Iain MacKinnon is a Scottish Gàidheal whose work seeks to understand his people’s cultural traditions and lifeways, as well as contribute to cultural transmission. At the moment he is learning about some of the many connections between Gàidheil and the British empire, and the consequences of these imperial connections. He belongs to the crofting township of Camuscross on the Isle of Skye and is a researcher in the governance of land and natural resources at Coventry University.
