Michael Stumpf

Michael Stumpf is a visual artist working primarily with sculptural installation. He was born in Mannheim (GER) and currently lives and works between Glasgow (UK), Bergen (NO) and Lingbo (SWE). In addition to his own practice he worked collaboratively as a member of the artist group Poster Club. He was a co-founder and curator of the independent exhibition space Kaiserpassage 21a, the exhibition project The Tower, and he served on the committee of Transmission Gallery. Since 2017 Michael Stumpf has been a lecturer in Sculpture and Environmental Art at Glasgow School of Art. He has had exhibitions in galleries and public institutions in the UK, Europe and North America and has been on residencies in Denmark, China, Spain, Germany, Canada and Scotland.
