Patrons

The launch of the Scotland/Japan residency exchange programme at Cove Park, October 2018.

The Patrons programme invites funders to support and engage with Cove Park by co-devising specific residency opportunities that align with their own interests. In 2024 we offered several new Awarded Residencies developed in this way. These include the Loch Long Crime Writing Residency, the Bowmaker Residency for an early career visual artist, the Sculpture House Residency for a visual artist based in Paisley, and the Smith Residency for graduates of The Glasgow School of Art, Goldsmiths University of London, or University of the Arts London. Collectively, these residencies offer both emerging and established artists genuinely transformational fully-funded opportunities, leading to new bodies of work and other opportunities.

We work in collaboration with our Patrons to define eligibility requirements for the residency, which may include specific art forms, career stages, alumni status, and more.

  • Gifts of £1,500 include naming rights for a 1-week funded residency for an artist based in Scotland.
  • Gifts of £3,000 include naming rights for a 2-week funded residency for an artist based in Scotland.
  • Gifts of £5,000 include naming rights for a 3-week funded residency for an artist based in the UK or Europe.

If this programme is of interest, please contact Cove Park’s Director, Alexia Holt, to discuss your ideas and requirements.
