Caroline Bagenal was born on the Isle of Cumbrae, Scotland. She is a sculptor and freelance writer with an MFA in Painting and an MA in Modern Art History, Theory and Criticism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Her works have been shown at the Maritime Museum in Liverpool, UK, The Qorikancha Museum in Cusco Peru, The O.I.A. Gallery in New York and the Boston Sculptors Gallery. Her work has been widely reviewed in Sculpture, The Boston Globe, Art New England, Artscope and other publications and is included in both private and corporate collections. She has received multiple awards including the Artist’s Projects: New Forms Award from New England Foundation for the Arts, The Individual Artist Grant from The Artists Resource Trust, and most recently has received an Artist Residency at Arts Letters and Numbers, Averill Park, NY.
