Cove Park is committed to supporting and promoting work in specialist art forms and this one month residency supports an established UK based artist working in ceramics.  The residency is supported by the G & E Pollitzer Charitable Settlement,  the Craignish Trust and the London Talks Series. Its purpose to provide the artist with time and space to explore and develop their practice within the context of Cove Park’s international and multi disciplinary programme, and with the full use of workshop and ceramic facilities available.

Nao Matsunaga is a Japanese ceramic artist who lives and works in London. His sculptural work is often inspired by architecture and the way in which people respond to the objects and spaces that surround them. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2007 he has exhibited his ceramics in UK and International shows including Jerwood Makers Open at the Jerwood Space, London and This Place is Made of Rocks in Stockholm, Sweden, his work is part of the UK Crafts Council Collection and he is represented by Marsden Woo Gallery, London.
