Natalie Nicolaïdes

Natalie Nicolaïdes is a freelance curator with a compelling portfolio of projects that intersect art, activism, and critical discourse. Holding a BA(Hons) in History of Art, Design, and Film, and an MLitt in Curatorial Practice, Nicolaïdes brings a robust academic foundation to her curatorial endeavors.

Nicolaïdes has curated notable exhibitions, including ‘Hosting Stillness’ with disabled artist Gemma Jones at the CCA Glasgow, and ‘Bordered Miles’ with artist and activist Iman Tajik for Glasgow International. These projects highlight her commitment to addressing complex social and political issues through art. Additionally, she has produced a cultural podcast series entitled ‘BUZZING,’ further demonstrating her dedication to fostering accessible and engaging conversations around contemporary topics.

Her areas of expertise and interest lie in bioethics, contemporary curatorial practice, and the intersection of artificial intelligence and art. Nicolaides was awarded the GSA Sustainability Award for her publication, ‘HARVEST’, on the bioengineering of rhino horn, a collaborative project with artist and designer Tina Gorjanc. This recognition underscores her innovative approach to curatorial practice and her commitment to sustainability.
