Wendy Sara Lap is an Edinburgh-based artist who paints atmospheric Scottish landscapes shaped by weather, light, and mood. Working mainly in acrylic, she creates soft, misty scenes where land and sky blend together, often with a single sheep or small flock bringing a quiet sense of presence and individuality. Entirely self-taught, Wendy has built her practice around capturing the feeling of being in a place; the calm, the stillness, and the shifting colours of Scotland’s hills, glens, and coasts. Her growing Signature Squares series focuses on 40×40 cm works that explore these themes in an intimate, approachable format. Wendy is a member of the Society of Scottish Artists and Visual Arts Scotland. She has exhibited in Edinburgh, including at Summerhall Arts and the Macmillan Art Show, with her work steadily gaining interest from collectors.
