Sarah Ward is a fiction writer and an education academic who uses creative methods in research. She has published short stories in New Writing Scotland 38 (2020), the middle of a sentence (2020) and Words about Whiteinch (2010). She won the Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize for her novel Resurrection, Port Glasgow in 2017 and was longlisted for the Caledonia Novel Award in 2019. She has published academic articles in the Journal of Youth Studies, Journal of Community Development and Social Inclusion. She works at the University of Edinburgh and lives in Glasgow with her partner and three children.
