Rebecca Stenfors is an artist, writer and filmmaker based in London with a Finnish-Swedish background. Her practice meditates on homecoming as a chosen fiction where narration, diary-keeping and oral storytelling traditions become processes of returning to that which is out of reach. She is fascinated by the illusory proximity and connection of the souvenir, which informs her approach to writing sensitive narratives that ruminate on generational memory.

Rebecca studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths and Central Saint Martins, and participated in the student exchange programme with HFBK, University of Fine Arts in Hamburg. She was a member of the 2023-2024 cohort of the LUX Critical Forum in London and, in 2024, was an artist in residence at Spectra, Kristinestad Artist’s Residency in Finland. Her first book, John Blund, was published by The Silent Academy last year.
