This residency of up to six weeks is offered to a talented new writer who would benefit from time to write, as well as networking opportunities with other writers, artists and arts professionals. The emerging writer is resident alongside professional artists and writers and takes part equally in the life of Cove Park.

Alan Gillespie is a new writer who lives in Glasgow and is originally from Fife. He will shortly finish the MLitt in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow. He has published short stories in various magazines and edits the online journal From Glasgow to Saturn. Alan is working on his first novel about Scotland’s first rock n’ roll tragedy.
