Rosie Hannah Gibson is from West Yorkshire and is now based in Glasgow. Rosie is a contemporary artist working in drawing, print, photography, film, sound, ceramics and installation. She is inspired by nature, history and society, and she contemplates femininity, ritual and witchcraft. She studied Art Foundation at Leeds College of Art & Design in 2007, Fine Art BA at University of the Arts London, Chelsea College of Arts in 2010, and Art Gallery and Museum Studies MA at The University of Manchester in 2012. In 2024, she also carried out a course in Art Psychotherapy at Glasgow University, and Creative Ceramics at Glasgow Clyde College. She has been working as a communications and marketing professional in the cultural sector for the last 15 years for organisations such as New Contemporaries, Camden Arts Centre, South London Gallery and The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and has recently reinvigorated her art practice since moving to Glasgow in 2024. She has a studio space at David Dale Gallery and Studios, and is a studio member at Squeeze Print Studio, Govan. Recent exhibitions include ‘Living Lines and Shifting Forms’ curated by Kyubean Nam at N.atelier, Glasgow and ‘Best Eggs’ curated by Aliyah Hussain, Egg Café, Todmorden. Recent audio releases include ‘The Scucca Sleeps Standing Up’ tracks 5 & 6 in collaboration with Larsenist on Tesla Tapes, Manchester. In autumn 2025 Rosie is taking part in an artist residency and solo show in Mexico at Casa Lu Sur.
