Kylie Moppert

Kylie Moppert (photography, Renan Goksin)

Kylie Moppert (she/her) returned to creative writing in 2020 after over 30 years of busyness. She blends memory with fiction to explore uncomfortable truths of life, friendship, love and family. Her work has appeared in anthologies, including Sparx, the annual publication of the Society of Women Writers Victoria, Island Magazine (online) and Bowen Street Press. Kylie’s current project is a dual timeline memoir exploring where intergenerational experiences are embodied in the lives of those who follow. Her visit to Scotland is uncovering the intersection of myth, family narrative, chance travel interactions and archival discovery. Kylie works at Writers Victoria and lives on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation in Australia.
