Janine Mitchell is a writer, researcher, and educator based in Scotland. She holds a doctorate in English Studies and Creative Writing, and her creative and academic work explores auto/biography and the intersections between archives, history, memory, and fiction.

She is currently editing her monograph on African biographical fiction and researching and writing her new biographical novel, Shamwari, set in Southern Africa.
