Elaine Webster, Katie Boyle & Saskia Vermeylen
Duration
This micro residency connects academics from across a number of research groups working across areas of human rights law, intergenerational social and environmental justice, Indigenous and traditional inland and coastal communities, human rights defenders, Indigenous labour and land rights, care-centred approaches, and multi-species justice, all with some focus on arts-based practice.
A small group of academics/facilitators/creative practitioners will come together to nurture areas of shared interest, seed ideas for future collaboration, and engage in creative practice and academic writing.
It is hosted by Dr Elaine Webster in partnership with Professor Katie Boyle and Dr Saskia Vermeylen from Strathclyde Law School. The micro residency also welcomes collaborator Ariel Sim, Founder of Conscious Creator Inc,. and Human Rights and Regenerative Design Fellow at New York University’s Centre for Human Rights and Global Justice. This residency forms part of a series of events on the theme of ‘Art and Humanity for Human Rights and Socio-Ecological Justice’.
