James McKeon studied at Chetham’s School of Music, Manchester and Christ’s College, Cambridge where he was the organ scholar.  He is currently Musical Director and Associate Musical Supervisor for Moulin Rouge The Musical in London, as well as Associate Musical Supervisor for the German production and the forthcoming Dutch production.  West End shows as Musical Director include: Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, Ghost the Musical, Imagine This, Evita, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Boy George’s Taboo (Original Production) and Pet Shop Boys’ Closer to Heaven.  Regional and International work as Musical Director includes: Funny Girl, Guys and Dolls (Marigny Theatre, Paris), Kiss Me Kate (Sheffield Crucible), Guys and Dolls in Concert (Royal Albert Hall), Miss Saigon (UK tour), White Christmas (Manchester Lowry), Annie Get Your Gun (Young Vic), Zorro (UK tour) and My Fair Lady (UK tour). James has also conducted productions of Love Never Dies (West End), The King and I (Royal Albert Hall), Spring Awakening (Lyric Hammersmith and West End), The Sound of Music (Palladium) and Cats (UK tour).
