Cove Park’s International Literature Residency supports an international writer at a key stage in their work. We offer the writer time and space to pursue a project or new ways of working free from the pressure of specified outcomes, in a changing community of artists across a range of art-forms, career stages and nationalities. Previous International Writers include Margaret Atwood, Anne Carson, Fred D’Aguiar, Christos Tsiolkas and Yelena Moskovich.
Emily Yae Won is a literary translator based in Seoul. She has translated works by Ali Smith, Jenni Fagan, Iain Banks, Djuna Barnes, Joanna Walsh and Deborah Levy into Korean. Her translation of Hwang Jungeun’s I’ll Go On was the recipient of a Daesan Foundation Translation Grant, and is forthcoming from Tilted Axis Press (November 2018).
