Martyn Riley is a North-London based Sound Artist and Musician, originating from Derbyshire. His Sound Art practise specialises in memory and sound-triggers, by employing a multitude of experimental recording techniques utilizing new and older analogue methods of sound composition. Manipulating sonic landscapes to challenge the listeners perceptions of environment and sound.

Martyn is currently studying at UAL LCC on its Masters program in Sound Art, focusing on developing his art practice with connecting environments and ‘extractive capitalism’ with natural adaptive behaviours and the testimonies of time and space.

Spring ’22 saw an exhibition Divfuse Project in London, ‘FUMP HULDER’. A documentation of sound and photography, and explorations of acoustic ecology, barren landscapes and geology of Permian Period Dartmoor.

Martyn also curates and produces experimental music along with a new London event [ADSR], bringing together new sonic talents to the fore for an open-minded local and international audience.
