The poet Thomas A Clark lives in a fishing village on the east coast of Scotland. His selected poems, The Threadbare Coat, was published by Carcanet Press in 2020.

In many publications from his own Moschatel Press, Thomas A Clark explores possibilities for presentation as an aspect of form; in simple formats of books and cards, in placing on the page, the space around words and images, the turning of pages, the different registers of private, domestic or public reading.

In an extension of these possibilities, and concurrent with language use in conceptual art, his work often takes the form of prints, or domestic or gallery wall installations.

During the summer months, with the artist Laurie Clark, he runs Cain Gallery, a space for minimal and conceptual art and one of the earliest of “artist run spaces” in the UK.”
