After forty plus years in the art gallery business in North Carolina, USA, Christie Taylor retired to the Eastern Shore of Maryland where she returned to painting the landscape. In 2017, she was awarded a Painting Fellowship from Ballinglen Arts Foundation, County Mayo, Ireland. This year, she was given a Residency from Tyrone Guthrie Center, Ireland, scheduled for 2024.

In addition to painting, she explores her personal landscape through writing. Her poems have recently been published in Persimmon Tree Journal, orangepeel literary magazine and forthcoming in THEMA Journal.
