Naeem Dxvis

Naeem Dxvis is an interdisciplinary artist and curator with a sentimental approach. Their work has emotional resonance, processing feelings of longing, disorientation, joy, nostalgia and desire.

As the creative director and co-founder of BBZ, for the past 6 years they have curated shows across the globe and worked in partnership with Tate, ICA, Glastonbury Festival, White Chapel Gallery, BFI and the British Council. As a collective, BBZ prioritised the experiences of queer womxn, trans folk and nonbinary people of colour, providing physical and online platforms for emerging queer artists. As an independent artist and cultural practitioner, they remain unapologetically committed to building intentional spaces for marginalised communities through black queer feminist practice, and advancing public dialogue around these topics.
