Born in Dublin in 1966, I describe myself as a visual artist and teacher. I can’t recall a time when I haven’t written, sketched, scrawled, painted, printed, photographed or sculpted. The creative process is integral to my soul. A self-employed artist, I work  mostly on private commission and until July 2021, combined this with a full-time teaching job. With a degree in politics and economics under my belt in 1989, I lived and worked in  London for many years, settling in Edinburgh in 2000.  I attended Edinburgh College of art in 2000/01 and completed the second year course of a degree course in Interior design and Glass. I left to care for my two children and  returned to full time teaching.  Since then, I have run private art classes for adults and children at my own business, Trinity Arthouse in Edinburgh. I have had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Edinburgh and the Borders and have received awards for my work at Leith School of art. I am taking a year’s sabbatical from teaching to focus on developing my own artwork.
