Nima Séne is an artist in collaboration currently based in Glasgow & Berlin.
Nima is inviting aida séne as well as other artists (remotely) on residency.
At Cove Park they will finally be delving into the darkmatters R&D project they had planned to do last year.
Here they will write personalised individual invites to artists and change makers to invite them
to join the journey and create responses which are not intended for a public outcome
other than sharing with each other. However an outcome can be made public in October 2022
through Fierce Festival and Jerwood Foundation of which Séne delightedly received one of three commissions.
Currently the core collaborator on this residency is the multidiciplinary artist, curator, costume designer and writer
Sabrina Henry who is joining remotely. Together they are focusing on reading and sharing notes from
(one of many books to be read) The Disordered Cosmos: A Journey into Dark Matter, Spacetime, & Dreams Deferred
by Chanda Prescod-Weinstein. The core collaborator for the Fierce Further commission 2022 is the inimitable artist Rachael Young.
Séne would hereby like to thank the beautiful sheep here at Cove and the birds, trees, soil, grass & fern’s; the wind and the water which
pass through and choose to reside here at this moment as well as the hills for hosting and tolerating them to spend some time in their home.
Nima Séne’s collaborative residency is made possible through the support of
producer and yoga teacher Anna Hodgart (Engine Room) and Creative Scotland’s Create Inclusion Fund 2020/21
