Martin Green

Martin Green is an accordion player, writer, and broadcaster based in Midlothian. He is the artistic director of Lepus Arts, who produce music, theatre and radio. In 2019 he won the Ivor Novello Composers Award for Sound Art for his large-scale binaural installation Aeons along the River Tyne. He has made several programmes for BBC 4 looking at the social functions of music including rave culture, morris dancing and brass bands.

As a writer Martin has been commissioned by The National Theatre of Scotland, The Guardian and the National Theatre, London. Lepus’s co-production with National Theatre of Scotland of Martin’s 2025 play Keli involved 50 community musicians, played to thousands of people across Scotland, and received five-star reviews.
