Dr Hannah Proctor and Dr Akshi Singh have been awarded funding from the British Academy for a writing retreat as part of a project called ‘Migration and Racialisation: The Psyche and the Social’. As writers and academics who work in the field of medical humanities, the retreat brings together artists, writers and psychotherapists to explore the themes of the project.

Christopher Law is a writer from Glasgow, currently working on a creativecritical book about the idea of possession. His recent essays have appeared in MAP magazine and Counterflows on Paper, the publication accompanying the 2022 Counterflows music festival. He received a PhD from Goldsmiths, University of London, and his academic writing has been published in liquid blackness, European Romantic Review, Postmodern Culture and other venues.
