Carol Rodrigues is a Brazilian writer based in São Paulo. Her short-story collection Sem Vista Para o Mar (Edith, 2014) won both main prizes for the category in Brazil: Jabuti and Biblioteca Nacional. She has also published two novels: A Mulher do Padre (Todavia, 2023) and O Melindre dos Dentes da Besta (7Letras, 2019). She holds an MA in International Performance Research from the University of Amsterdam (Erasmus Mundus). She was a guest author in Guadalajara International Book Fair, Flip (Paraty – Brazil), The Script Road (Macau) and The Pessoa Festival in Lisbon and New York. Carol was awarded a writing residency by MALBA, in Argentina, and also by Nanjing UNESCO City of Literature, in China, both in 2024. She also works with script writing and creative writing workshops.
