Louise V Say is a Glasgow based Screenwriter originally from Wales. After five seasons as Producer of the BBC 1 crime drama Shetland, Louise left earlier this year to concentrate on creating her own projects. She has just written her first TV pilot spec script at the National Film and Television School Screenwriting Course. She is looking forward to precious blue sky thinking time at Cove Park to create her second project – a feature length drama.

Her other drama credits include Co-Producer Dracula (2019, BBC1/Netflix) and Co-Producer Les Miserables (2018, BBC1/Netflix). Before producing drama, Louise spent 20 years directing and series producing blue chip documentaries. In Scotland’s high security prison Louise was Producer Director of Ross Kemp Behind Bars: Inside Barlinnie (ITV), Robson Green Extreme Fisherman – South America (Quest, Channel Five), the multiple award winning blue chip series How The Universe Works (Discovery) and Stephen Hawking’s Brave New World (Channel 4). Before working in television, Louise completed her PhD in environmental security and was an Officer in the Royal Navy.
