Cove Park Associate Anna Olson is a Scotland-based interdisciplinary artist. An MFA graduate from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee, she studied creative and critical writing alongside philosophy and advanced art practice. This shifted her approach both in terms of material enquiry and methodology. Anna’s clay work is now intertwined with the liminality and intra-connectivity of found objects and other creative practices, increasingly process-led and influenced by ‘other’ ways of knowing and being.

Deeply concerned by a personal and collective disconnect with the rest of nature, Anna walked the length of the River Tay from source to sea as part of her masters’ work. At Cove Park Anna hopes to create an artist book by reflecting on the lived experience through ‘quiet eyes’. A sedimentation of experience with the embodiment of the temporality of material making, considering the re-orientation of meaning and value and the potentiality of re-positioning our perspectives and priorities.
