Nine of the Making Tracks residents at Cove Park in September 2022, having dinner, some seated and some standing around long green metal tables on the balcony outside the Jacobs Building. The balcony is in early evening sunshine, and the table and chair legs are casting long shadows across the wooden decking. The view is of a green site, woodland, Loch Long, and the blue-grey hills of Cowal Peninsula beyond.

Open Residencies

Our Open Residencies provide opportunities for those with their own funding to take part in our annual programme: we welcome individuals, collaborators, and collectives – working in every creative discipline or area of research – who are able to meet the costs of a residency through, for example, the support of academic institutions, public funders, or trusts and foundations.

Open Residencies can take place at any time of the year, and can be for as short a time as three nights or as long as four months.

This programme is also open to cultural organisations and companies, and the facilities we provide are ideal for collaborative projects, seminars, programme development, and strategic planning. Full site bookings are available with an onsite capacity of 14 people.

Prices depend upon the length of stay, the time of year, and whether you are coming on your own or with an organisation or company. Current prices are as follows:

Pods (multiple occupancy): between £145 – £220 per night or £1,000 – £1,500 per week.
Cubes (single occupancy): between £65 – £100 per night or £500 – £650 per week.
Full site (up to 14 people): between £800 – £1,000 per night or £5,200 – £7,000 per week.

Please note, bookings should be for a minimum of three nights.
