NAARCA Commission: Greenlandic writer Pivinnguaq Mørch

Pivinnguaq Mørch (1993, Upernavik) is a writer and poet living in Nuuk. Mørch holds a graduate degree in cultural and social history from the University of Greenland and since 2016 has conducted archaeological fieldwork in Greenland. Literary works include Inuusuttut nunatsinni nunarsuarmilu (2013), Arpaatit qaqortut (2015, nominated for Nordic Council Literature Prize), Kinaassuseq (2018, co-authored with Hendrik Mørch), Qaammassuup Oqaluttuaa (2020), Månens fortælling (2021), and Himlen over Kina (2021). In 2013, Mørch won the first Greenlandic Poetry Slam in Greenland’s Cultural Centre, Katuaq, in 2013. He is currently an instructor at Greenland Business School teaching social studies and Kalaallisut.
