A day of two workhops
Saturday 13th April 2019, 10.00am – 4.00pm
Morning: Chemigrams – with Laura Aldridge
In this workshop we will explore an early photographic process called The Chemigram; a Chemigram is made without a camera and is created in full light instead of in the darkness of the darkroom, using resists on photographic (light sensitive) paper to create unique one off prints. We will experiment by using everday materials such as coconut oil and butter combined with photographic solutions to create surprisingly unsual imagery.
Afternoon: Porcelain Jewelery – with Mirka Janeckova
During this workshop you will take inspiration from organic forms and flora and fauna found on site to create your own porcelian jewellery pieces. We will discover how different tools can be used to create texture and marks before firing our test pieces. Work will be available for collection the following week.
This is a full day workshop so please bring a packed lunch, drinks and fruit will be provided.
