This ninth film in our HOCP at home series comes from Lauren Gault entitled ‘LOOK-LENS-SEE-SEA’. The film is based on an idea initiated during Lauren’s 2014 residency at Cove Park. The studio is glass fronted and Lauren spent a lot of time making semi-transparent works that engaged with the glass pane or became another ‘layer’ in the view. Lauren poses questions about how a lens, screen or viewfinder might change what we see and how we see it.
The film was edited by Duncan Marquiss and thanks go to Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Young Start.
