The final film in the 2020 series HOCP at Home features the Glasgow-based visual artist Duncan Marquiss. This short video gives an insight in to his practice and offers a word and image association project to try at home.
Duncan first came to Cove Park in 2008 for a Visual Arts residency. He returned in 2019 to take part in the Experimental Film & Moving Image programme and to lead Saturday Studio workshops as part of Hands-On Cove Park. Duncan was awarded the prestigious Margaret Tait Award in 2015 and, in 2016, presented his major solo exhibition, ‘Copying Errors’ at DCA. This exhibition included the short video work ‘Midgie Noise’ filmed during his 2008 residency at Cove Park. The artist has edited all of the HOCP at Home videos and has made a wonderful contribution to this programme. We are also grateful to the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Young Start for their support.
