As part of our 25th anniversary programme of special events, we are taking part in this year’s Doors Open Day programme. Visitors are welcome from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 20 September and Sunday 21 September for tours of Cove Park and refreshments.
On Sunday, from 2-3.30pm, tickets are available for an in-conversation event with architect Jude Barber and writer Louise Welsh. Both former Cove Park residents, Jude and Louise are the researchers and presenters of the podcast Who Owns the Clyde? Join us to hear about this project and their work as co-directors of The Empire Cafe.
The Empire Café is an award-winning collective exploring Scotland’s relationship with empire. Established during the 2014 Commonwealth Games, its projects include soundscape Merchant City Voices, The Empire Café cultural event, podcast Who Owns the Clyde? with Halina Rifai and Clyde Reflections with photographer Chris Leslie. Through its work, The Empire Cafe encourages conversations about history, land ownership, and the ongoing effects of Empire through cross-cultural events, writing, visual arts, public discussions, sound-based works and more.
This event is free, everyone is welcome, and refreshments will be provided. Capacity for the event with Jude Barber and Louise Welsh is limited – please reserve your place via Ticket Tailor.
