Born Edinburgh, 1977. Lives and works in Portobello, Scotland.
Rory Middleton studied at both Leith School of Art, Edinburgh, and Falmouth College of Arts. He received an MFA from Glasgow School of Art in 2006.
In his work, Middleton explores cinema, architecture and landscape, often making installations which involve sculpture and video. He uses smoke, smell, sound and water to create environments for the viewer to enter.
