Natsumi Sakamoto is a visual artist based in Glasgow. Born in Tokyo, Natsumi studied at Tama Art University, Tokyo and at Chelsea College of Art and Design, London. Recent solo exhibitions include ‘unforgettable landscape’ (Youkobo Art Space, Tokyo) and ‘A Rowan Wards of Witches’ (Robert Gordon University, Art and Heritage Collections, LZGallery, Aberdeen, 2020). She is working towards a solo show with 16 Nicholson Street Gallery in 2021. Recent group exhibitions include ‘Memories in Movement’ (placeMAK, Seoul, South Korea, 2019) and ‘OPEN SITE 5 (Tokyo Arts and Space, Tokyo, 2020). In 2021 Natsumi will take part in the group exhibition ‘Experimental Field Glasgow’ at CCA Glasgow.
