Adebusola Ramsay is a visual artist based in East Renfrewshire. Born in Nigeria, she studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Glasgow and her painting practice has developed subsequently over the past two decades. She has a strong interest in collaborative practice and has developed projects with artists such as Sequoia Barnes, Ashanti Harris and Sekai Machache. Recent exhibitions and projects include ‘Walking Through The Shadows Eyes Open’ (curated by Alberta Whittle and Sekai Machache), Subsolo laboratorio de arte, Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil; ‘After Dune’, a solo exhibition with guest curator Sekai Machache, GENERATORprojects, Dundee (both 2019); and ‘Obfuscation of Reality Upholds White Supremacy’, printed and displayed at Edinburgh Printmakers as part of Black Lives Matter Trail project curated and produced by Wezi Mhura, Edinburgh, 2020.
