Announcing Collective Home: Community, Creativity & Action in Argyll
We are delighted to share the news that our engagement programme, Collective Home: Community, Creativity & Action in Argyll, has been selected as one of the 23 Scotland-wide projects awarded funding through Culture Collective.
Funded by the Scottish Government, Culture Collective places creativity at the heart of community development, supporting artists and organisations to work directly with communities, respond to local priorities, strengthen local identity and create paid opportunities for creative practitioners.
Focussed upon the concept of home and what this means now for communities in Argyll, our project reflects the distinct character and composition of our rural and coastal region. Through sustained projects devised collaboratively by the creative practitioners we support and the participating communities, we will explore what home means for young people in Argyll, for those facing the challenges of the climate crisis, and for those with lived experience of displacement and settling in this region. Developed in partnership with local organisations, our work will harness the power of creativity and collective action to build community, promote cultural exchange, and enhance lives.
We look forward to sharing more details about this programme and the activities we have planned soon!
