Peter Jacobs (1943 – 2025), with his wife Eileen Jacobs, co-founded Cove Park in 1999. Peter had an extremely successful business career, holding many senior positions in a variety of fields. This enabled him to retire early, allowing him to use his resources, energy, wide experience, and strategic thinking for a new initiative. Cove Park was established, grew and evolved into the special place it is today.

Peter and Eileen’s extraordinary vision, dedicated hard work, and philanthropy laid the foundations of our unique programme, enabling artists to work within the inspiring rural landscape overlooking Loch Long. Our mission as a charity continues to express their commitment to the support and development of new work by local, national, and international artists. Together they shaped Cove Park’s 50-acre site, providing unique accommodation and studios for our residents and contributing to the development in 2016 of The Jacobs Building. Their stalwart involvement as Founding Trustees has been invaluable and has created the basis and platform for the next generation of Cove Park.
