Creative Exchange 2027 is now open for applications.

Chamber Music Scotland and Cove Park have launched Creative Exchange 2027 – a four-day residency offering Scotland-based musicians and music creators dedicated space, time and peer support to reflect, create and collaborate across disciplines.

Taking place from Monday 15th to Thursday 18th March 2027 at Cove Park, the residency offers artists the time and space to think, engage, explore their practice without performance pressure.

The residency is for freelance musicians and music creators living and working in Scotland who are keen to immerse themselves in a collaborative, reflective environment. Chamber music must remain at the heart of the sound, instrumentation or ethos of their practice.

Artists can use the time to:

  • Connect with fellow music residents and artists working in other disciplines.
  • Experiment with new ideas and test creative directions.
  • Engage in open discussion around sector challenges, themes and creative practice.
  • Take time out to reflect on their practice.

The Residency will include daily facilitated discussions, a session with Guest Artist Amanda Thomson, a communal meal alongside flexible self-directed time. We are looking for someone who connects with our work, has a collaborative approach, and is keen to immerse themselves during the residency. Participating artists receive a £300 bursary, covered travel and accommodation, food per diem, and a hosted communal dinner. Additional funding is available for childcare and specific access requirements during the residency.

Applications close at 11am, Monday 9th November 2026.
