Join Collective Home Embedded Artist Kenny Glenaan for an immersive workshop connected to the concept of home. Kenny is a theatre maker and filmmaker based in Renfrewshire and developing work in Argyll.
During the workshop you can create a character, form a family, build a home, go on a journey, meet strangers, build a community. Taking the idea of what ‘home’ means this is a two-hour interactive physical theatre workshop for everybody – of all abilities – in which everyone will play everything! Wear old/loose clothes and be prepared to get down and dirty, work with your hands, be painted, roll around, and maybe dance. If you can play a musical instrument/s bring them along, or we will create our own instruments. Plenty of breaks, juice and snacks will be available for the journey.

Collective Home: Community, Creativity & Action in Argyll is one of the 23 Scotland-wide projects awarded funding through Culture Collective in 2026-2027.
Funded by the Scottish Government, Culture Collective places creativity at the heart of community development, supporting artists and organisations to work directly with communities, respond to local priorities, strengthen local identity and create paid opportunities for creative practitioners.
Focussed upon the concept of home and what this means now for communities in Argyll, our project reflects the distinct character and composition of our rural and coastal region. Through sustained projects devised collaboratively by the creative practitioners we support and the participating communities, we will explore what home means for young people in Argyll, for those facing the challenges of the climate crisis, and for those with lived experience of displacement and settling in this region. Developed in partnership with local organisations, our work will harness the power of creativity and collective action to build community, promote cultural exchange, and enhance lives.
