Betsey Kilpatrick, Mindscape, 100x40cm, acrylic

Betsey Kilpatrick, born in Leicester, currently lives and works in Edinburgh. Her practice explores the often unspoken relationship between nature and human consciousness. Through painting, she experiments with the dialogue between image and process, seeking not only to depict nature but also to embody its essence and vitality.

She attended Wimbledon College of Art, London, and the Royal College of Art, London. Recently exhibiting at Studio Kura, Japan (2025); Hunted Projects, Edinburgh (2024); Then & Now: One Hundred Years of VAS at the Royal Scottish Academy; the John Moores Painting Prize (2023); and 21fATHOMS at ASC Gallery, London (2021).
