Isis O'Regan
Duration
Originally from Galway, Ireland, and now based in Glasgow, Isis O’Regan’s creative practice stretches from sound art to poetry. Working at the intersection of folklore, the uncanny and the body, she explores instability through illness and the home within her work. Her literature-meets-sound series Éisteacht Aisteach (translating from Irish as “weird listen”) is a travelling radio show which premiered on NTS and has since found homes via the Glaswegian label 12th Isle and local radio station Clyde Built.
Previous radio series she’s been a part of include Tanzen und Denken, a collaborative project with Rupert Clervaux on LYL Radio. In 2020, she was the recipient of the BBC Arts and Arts Council England Current Transmissions grant to produce Wet Cement, and in 2025 her sound art pieces were presented at the Engine Room, London and released via jez riley french’s “murmurations transmit” compilation.
