Kate Fahey is an artist based between London and Kilkenny. What binds all of her work is an exploration of ways of meaning-making outwith scientific and rational knowledge systems – conventional ways of understanding the world rooted in patriarchal, white, western historical narratives. Through moving image, sound, language, print and sculptural practice, she investigates embodied, esoteric, folkloric and more-than-human ways of knowing.

She has shown her work at spaces including the ICA London, the Bluecoat Liverpool, VISUAL Carlow, CCA Andratx, Arti et Amicitiae Amsterdam, Flat Time House London and the Royal Scottish Academy. Residencies include Hospitalfield Arbroath, Leitrim Sculpture Centre, Guest Projects London and the British School At Rome.

‘I will spend my time at Cove Park developing a series of sculptures and sound based works exploring the sensitivity of plants to the electro-magnetic spectrum and which will be exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh in Autumn 2026.’
